Volunteers
We rely on volunteers to help with a number of tasks:
- Processing older correspondence files (unfold, take out staples, place in acid-free folders.)
- Researching specific historical questions.
- Indexing The Southern Cross
- Keeping track of clergy assignments, using past issues of the Catholic Directory and new appointments.
- Scanning photographs/documents for digital storage.
- Photocopying newspaper articles for our files.
- Filing of newspapers, photographs, newsletters, correspondence, and programs.
- Preparation of cemetery index. (All the field work and computer entries for this project accomplished by volunteers.)
- Responding to requests for genealogical information.
- Microfilming and computerization of sacramental records.
