We rely on volunteers to help with a number of tasks:

  1. Processing older correspondence files (unfold, take out staples, place in acid-free folders.)
  2. Researching specific historical questions.
  3. Indexing The Southern Cross
  4. Keeping track of clergy assignments, using past issues of the Catholic Directory and new appointments.
  5. Scanning photographs/documents for digital storage.
  6. Photocopying newspaper articles for our files.
  7. Filing of newspapers, photographs, newsletters, correspondence, and programs.
  8. Preparation of cemetery index. (All the field work and computer entries for this project accomplished by volunteers.)
  9. Responding to requests for genealogical information.
  10. Microfilming and computerization of sacramental records.
