Chastity Education

Our diocesan program links parishes with Family Honor presenters and provides support for those interested in being trained. Family Honor, Inc. is a national Catholic nonprofit organization based in South Carolina, which provides chastity education programs in the parishes for parents and children from 6th through 8th grades. Presenters are trained through "The Principles of Teaching Family-Centered Chastity Education", an intensive educational program. For more information visit Family Honor.
A Chastity Education school-based program is also offered by Leanne Sells, a registered nurse, for children grades 5 through 8 in the Catholic Schools. A retreat day structured program is available to the children in parish religious education programs.
Mother-Daughter and Father-Son program materials and training are available from the Family Life Office. These programs were developed by Mary Pat Van Epps of the Diocese of Memphis and focus on improving communication between parents and children during pre-adolescence.
