Project Rachel / Rachel's Vineyard
The Rachel Ministries, Project Rachel and Rachel's Vineyard, is a Catholic post abortion healing ministry. This confidential ministry is for all women and men, parents and grandparents, and relatives who are seeking healing after an abortion. The focus of this ministry is to help heal the multi-layer of wounds inflicted by abortion.
Through these programs individuals that are having emotional, psychological and/ or spiritual difficulties will experience healing through a combination of activities that include scripture meditations and exercises, designed to treat complicated grief often found in those suffering after abortion, interaction with professional counselors, and group support from those who have already gone through the program.
Project Rachel operates as a 12 to 15 week confidential healing program with professional counselors and priests, all trained to provide one on one spiritual and psychological care for those who are suffering because of an abortion. Rachel's Vineyard is a confidential weekend retreat that combines the same healing experience into one weekend. Rachel's Vineyard is the program we are currently using in the Diocese of Savannah.
Rachel’s Vineyard: RACHEL'S VINEYARD is a retreat program which helps those suffering after abortion. This retreat is a beautiful opportunity for anyone struggling with the emotional, spiritual or psychological pain that frequently follows the event. The Rachel's Vineyard Retreat program is done in a confidential group setting over a weekend beginning Friday evening and concluding on Sunday afternoon. Rachel's Vineyard weekends for healing after abortion are offered throughout the year in locations across the United States. Through this program you have an opportunity to examine your abortion experience, identify the ways that the loss has impacted you in the past and present, and acknowledge any unresolved feelings that many individuals struggle with after abortion. Married couples, mothers, fathers, grandparents and siblings of aborted children, as well as persons who have been involved in the abortion industry have come to Rachel's Vineyard in search of peace and inner healing. You to can come and experience the mercy and compassion of God and be restored.
If you are looking for information about either of the Rachel Ministries the Savannah Diocesan Office of Family Life can help. Call 912-201-4059 or Stephanie May for confidential referrals for licensed professionals for individual counseling and or group therapy, or for dates and locations of upcoming Rachel's Vineyard Weekend Retreats.

Elliot Institute: The Elliot Institute is a national non-profit organization dedicated to research, education, and outreach regarding the effects of abortion on women, men, families, and society. They also distribute Hope and Healing Newspaper.
Silent No More: The National Silent No More Awareness Campaign is an effort to make the public aware of the devastation abortion brings to women, men, and their families. The emotional and physical pain of abortion will no longer be shrouded in secrecy and silence, but rather exposed and healed. This effort is a key to make abortion unthinkable and persuade society that women deserve better than abortion.

"God Knew Your Name" This touching song (and the beautiful music video) has helped many work through the emotions of death and abortion.
