Safe Environment Training Programs - Youth & Adult

ADULTS:

PROTECTING GOD’S CHILDREN – A VIRTUS program developed by National Catholic Risk Retention Group. This program applies a best-practice approach for preventing child sexual abuse and is designed for adults. Participation is required of all priests, deacons, seminarians, and religious in the diocese as well as all diocesan employees (full-time and part-time) and volunteers whose duties include ongoing , unsupervised contact with minors. Awareness sessions are offered in English and Spanish throughout the diocese. Visit VIRTUS.ORG for a schedule of upcoming sessions.

YOUTH:

CHILD LURES (Catholic Schools/Parish Religious Education Programs) – A safe environment education program for children in elementary school. To learn more about this program and availability of presentation for parents please contact the Diocesan Catholic Schools Office at (912) 201-4121. 

GOOD TOUCH BAD TOUCH (Catholic Schools/Parish Religious Education Programs) – A school-based, child abuse prevention education program focusing on child safety. It is the approved program for public schools in the state of Georgia.

TEACHING TOUCHING SAFETY (Catholic Schools/Parish Religious Education Programs) - A safe environment education program for children attending diocesan Catholic schools/religious education classes.  To learn more about this program and availability of presentations for parents please contact the Diocesan Faith Formation Office at (912) 201-4042.
