Camp Villa Marie 2017

Camp Villa Marie provides children ages 6-12 with an exciting, fun-filled camp experience. The purpose of the summer camp is to provide our children with a holistic environment that nurtures their spiritual, physical, intellectual and social needs. Campers enjoy activities such as arts and crafts, bible lessons, swimming, outdoor and indoor games, along with a special activities based on the theme of the week. The camp is located on 29 acres of pristine deep water acreage on the Isle of Hope. Camp Villa Marie is building on a wonderful past to create a strong and vibrant future.

Participant age:
Children ages 6 to 12 years old (must have successfully completed Kindergarten)*This is due to staffing ratio regulations. We cannot make exceptions*

Camp Sessions and Themes
Session 1:  June 5 - 9 – Superheroes
Develop your own superhero skills and powers!
Session 2:  June 12 –16- Travel through Time
Hop into the CVM Time Machine to have adventures in different periods of history each day!
Session 3: June 19 – 23- Up, Up, and Away
                Look up in the sky! Join us for a week exploring all kinds of things in the air!
Session 4: June 26 – June 30 – Animal Planet
Cuddly, slimy, prickly, scaly – check out the world of animals this week!
Session 5: July 3 – 7 (no Camp July 4th!) – Holiday Hoopla
It’s a year of holidays in July! Each day we will learn about different holidays through the year. *Note camp is closed July 4.
Session 6: July 10 – 14 – Mystery Investigations
It’s a “whodunit” kind of week at CVM! Go on scavenger hunts, uncover clues, and solve the mysteries!
Session 7: July 17-21 – Exploration and Adventure
Summer is all about new adventures! Let’s explore new places and conquer new challenges together!
Session 8: July 24- 28 – Mad Science Week
We’ve gone crazy in the science lab! Finish out the summer doing all kinds of wacky, messy, oopy-gooey science!
 

What to Bring / Dress Code

Villa Marie Center is excited to have your children as a part of our Summer Camp.  We are dedicated to creating both a safe and fun filled summer program.  In order to make everyday a wonderful adventure for us and your child/children we ask that you review this information with your child.

Campers Can Bring  Campers Cannot Bring
(Please label all items)
  • Sunscreen (we recommend the spray on kind)
  • Bug Repellant
  • Towel and plastic bag for wet swimsuit
  • Backpack
  • Lunchbox or brown bag lunch
  • Snack (Only if your child is attending aftercare, snack will be provided for all campers in the morning.)
  • ** Water Shoes with a back for the pool and outdoor water play (the deck and the bottom of the pool can be rough on the feet and the field has stickers)
  • Goggles, ear plugs, pool shoes and any other items required for swimming
  • Radios or iPods
  • Cell phones
  • Video games
  • Toys
  • Electronics

** We plan to do a variety of different water activities either in the field or at the pool house. This is not a required item for campers, but is highly suggested.

Dress Code

Swimming Attire: Camp Attire:
  • Girls -one piece suits that provide adequate coverage are required
  • Boys -trunks that provide adequate coverage are encouraged
  • Camp T-shirt, short sleeve shirts, wide-strap tank top (no halters or crop tops) 
  • Shorts that are mid-thigh in length or longer
  • Closed toe shoes and socks (no flip-flops or sandals)

Camp Hours

Drop-off and Pick-up times:

  • Drop-off between 8:30 - 9:00 am
  • Camp 9:00 am - 3:30 pm
  • Pick-up at 3:30 pm
  • Aftercare available between 3:30 - 5:30 pm (Additional fee $50/camper/week)
