Academic/Professional Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Three-to-five years’ experience in religious education/catechetical-related work
• Practicing Catholic in full communion with the Church
• Hold a valid driver’s license, be able to drive and qualify under the diocesan insurance carrier when operating a district vehicle (some travel required)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented
• Desire to continue spiritual journey

Essential Functions

• Support the mission of Catholic education for all children within the parish and school community.
• Understand Catholic Theology and Beliefs of the Catholic Church.
• Provide leadership in organizing, administering, supervising and evaluating the effective programming of the district-wide religious education curriculum, instruction and catechetical certification.
• Communicate effectively with all members of the Catholic Diocese of Savannah parishes and schools.
