All Catholics in the Diocese are invited to attend a Listening Session with Bishop Stephen D. Parkes as part of the Reflect, Renew, Rejoice planning initiative. These townhall-style meetings will give Bishop Parkes the opportunity to learn about the needs, expectations and hopes of the Faithful across the Diocese.

On Pentecost Sunday, Bishop Parkes outlined a process of planning and discernment designed to help the Diocese Reflect, Renew and Rejoice as together we formulate a vision for our local Church.
REFLECT, the first stage in the process, will begin at the end of September with a series of Listening Sessions across the Diocese.
What is a Listening Session?

Listening Sessions are townhall-style meetings that will give Bishop Parkes the opportunity to learn about the needs, expectations and hopes of the People of God in the Diocese. He will be present at each of the Sessions to listen to you, to hear your concerns, and to learn of your dreams and aspirations for the future of our local Church. He will be seeking comments on three key questions:
1. As a Diocese, what are we doing well?
2. What are we doing that we could improve upon?
3. Where should we be focused over the next 3–5 years?
All Catholics in the Diocese are invited to attend a Listening Session of their choice – you need not attend the one nearest your parish if the time and date of the Session are inconvenient.
By baptism, every member of the Church is called into communion with one another – the many coming together as one body in Christ. These Listening Sessions will provide us with an opportunity for listening, for sharing, for communion. Please continue praying for this initiative and join us on this journey.
El domingo de Pentecostés, el Obispo Parkes planteo un proceso de planeación y discernimiento diseñado para ayudar a la Diócesis a Reflexionar, Renovarse y Alegrarse mientras elaboramos juntos una visión para nuestra Iglesia local.
REFLEXIONAR, la primera etapa del proceso, comenzará a finales de septiembre con una serie de sesiones de escucha en toda la Diócesis.
¿Qué es una reunión de escucha?

Las sesiones de escucha son reuniones abiertas, que darán al Obispo Parkes la oportunidad de conocer las necesidades, expectativas y esperanzas del Pueblo de Dios en la Diócesis. El estará presente en cada una de las sesiones para escucharle, oír sus preocupaciones, conocer sus sueños y aspiraciones para el futuro de nuestra Iglesia local. Él estará buscando saber sus comentarios sobre tres preguntas clave:
1. ¿Cómo diócesis, ¿qué estamos haciendo bien?
2. ¿Qué estamos haciendo que podríamos mejorar?
3. ¿En qué debemos centrarnos en los próximos tres a cinco años?
Todos los católicos de la Diócesis están invitados a asistir a una sesión de escucha de su elección - no es necesario asistir a la más cercana a su parroquia si la hora y la fecha de la sesión no son las más convenientes para usted.
Por el bautismo, cada miembro de la Iglesia está llamado a la comunión con los demás – todos los miembros del cuerpo, aunque son muchos, constituyen un solo cuerpo en Cristo.
