Father Daniel Melaba appointed to faculty of Florida seminary; Franciscan Friars will provide pastoral care to St. Peter Claver Parish

Bishop Gregory J. Hartmayer, OFM Conv., has approved the assignment of Father Daniel Melaba, parochial administrator of St. Peter Claver Parish in Macon, to the faculty of St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach, Florida effective August 8.

Bishop Hartmayer also announced that the Franciscan Friars of the Holy Name Province have accepted his invitation to provide pastoral care to the people of St. Peter Claver parish and to the Macon Deanery beginning in September.

During the interim period, Father Thomas Healy, a retired priest of the Diocese of Savannah, will serve as administrator of St. Peter Claver Parish.
