Bishop Hartmayer will ordain two men to the priesthood on Saturday, June 30

Bishop Gregory J. Hartmayer, OFM Conv. will ordain Christopher Ray Hassel and Andrew Taylor Larkin as Catholic priests in an ancient ritual at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 30 at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Savannah.

Deacon Hassel, whose home parish is Sacred Heart Church in Warner Robins, studied for the priesthood at St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach, FL.

Deacon Hassel will be assigned as parochial vicar of St. Francis Xavier Parish in Brunswick and its mission of Nativity of Our Lady in Darien.

 

Deacon Larkin, whose home parish is St. Peter Claver Church in Macon, studied at the Pontifical North American College in Vatican City.

Deacon Larkin’s first assignment is as parochial vicar at St. Anne Parish in Richmond Hill. He will also serve part time in the Marriage Tribunal at the Catholic Pastoral Center in Savannah.
