Sacred Heart Parish in Warner Robins is seeking a high energy individual for our full-time Youth Minister position. The Youth Minister is responsible for providing a dynamic Religious Education Program for youth middle school through young adults. The middle and high school programs serve and supplement family catechesis. This includes programs for seasonal formation (i.e., summer, Advent, Lent). The Youth Minister also works with the Director of Religious Education to prepare out of cycle sacramental preparation classes. Duties in this position included but are not limited to the following

Plan, organize, and implement the Youth Programs in the Parish

Maintain oversight of youth ministry events in the Parish (i.e,. Antioch Retreat, Confirmation)

Advise/assist parish administrators on continuing youth and young adult evangelization efforts

Assist the DRE with identifying sacramental preparation for out-of-cycle youth

Recruit and acquire training for youth ministry volunteers

Review with catechists overall programing, lesson plans, etc. and provide for needs

Review and evaluate adequacy of all resources

Serve as liaison for Pastor, parish administrator, parents, and youth ministry volunteers

Provide youth ministry volunteers opportunities for continued growth

Provide parents and volunteers ongoing communication on available youth and catechetical programs (i.e., Catechetical Institute)

Coordinate teams to offer seasonal liturgical, summer programs, and service programs (i.e., VBS, Stations of the Cross, etc.)

Keep records on students/participants, supplies, expenses, and equipment

Draft an annual consolidated budget request for review by the Finance Council

Communicate with Diocese to keep abreast of guidelines and recommended programs

Assist with special liturgies, coordinating with the School Principal and Liturgy Director (i.e., Confirmation Mass, 8th Grade Graduation, High School Graduation, etc.)

Serve as advisor to the pastor and his leadership team on how to keep youth engaged through community events, online, and in other areas

Provide established office hours of availability for parents and office staff

Assist with common ad hoc office tasks as needed/available (i.e., answering phones, cleaning common work areas, etc.)
